In a society marked by a fast pace of life, stress and mental fatigue, disciplines such as art, culture and solidarity have emerged as genuine drivers of well-being and holistic health. Committed to exploring this connection further, CSR economist Juan Royo Abenia (culturaRSC.com) and GoAragón will organize the Art and Health Forum in Huesca on October 16, a gathering for discussion, reflection and inspiration to be hosted at Eboca’s headquarters.
The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a welcome address and introduction by Manuel Torres of Eboca, the host organization, which is committed to regional development and sustainable partnerships.
Inclusion, cooperation and craftsmanship: art in the first person
The opening session will focus on the therapeutic and inclusive value of artistic expression through three leading social initiatives:
-
VALENTIA Art Workshop (Grupo ZheBRA): The Huesca-based organization will show how the visual arts can become a means of communication, personal development and visibility for people with intellectual disabilities.
-
Ilumináfrica: Attendees will learn firsthand about the work of this organization, which provides comprehensive eye care in Chad, enabling communities with limited financial resources to regain their sight and transform their futures.
-
AMIBIL and the ‘Manar’ collection: The association from Calatayud will present its handmade jewelry line with a fashion show. ‘Manar’ symbolizes the creative strength, diversity and talent of members of its occupational center through handcrafted ceramic and resin pieces.
