The Aragonese Technology District (DAT) Alierta, located in Zaragoza, has taken a significant step in its expansion by incorporating seven new companies and entities that will occupy a space of 3,800 square meters. This announcement was made by Mar Vaquero, acting Vice President of Aragon, during the closing of The Wave, an event aimed at young people at the Zaragoza Congress Palace.
Business Expansion at DAT Alierta
The new additions to DAT Alierta include Inetum, Wanatop, the ALIA Cluster with Educatrafic, IA Experience, Omnitec, Deveco, and Rasmia. These companies will share the space with Siemens, which confirmed its presence a year ago, and will join other projects such as Circe and Integra. The occupancy of the facilities by these companies is expected by late 2027 or early 2028, once municipal licensing procedures are completed.
This expansion underscores DAT Alierta’s commitment to the growth of the technology sector in the region, providing a collaborative environment for innovative companies. The arrival of these firms strengthens Zaragoza’s technological ecosystem and promotes the creation of synergies among different players in the sector.
Boosting Regional Technological Infrastructure
The DAT Alierta spans over 80 hectares in Zaragoza and is part of a broader strategy that includes Walqa in Huesca and Technopark in Alcañiz. This technological triangle aims to consolidate Aragon as a hub of innovation in Europe, attracting investment and talent to the region.
The infrastructure is designed to foster collaboration among companies, academic institutions, and research centers, creating a conducive environment for the development of new technologies and innovative solutions. This comprehensive approach seeks to position Aragon as a benchmark in the technological field at the European level.
Inspiration for New Generations
During her remarks, Mar Vaquero highlighted the importance of these developments for the Aragonese youth, emphasizing that the future of the region is in the hands of new generations. She encouraged young people to seize the opportunities that these technological spaces offer to grow professionally, start businesses, and contribute to the development of the autonomous community.
The Vice President noted that these projects not only represent a step forward in terms of infrastructure but also send a message of confidence in local talent and its capacity to lead innovation in the future. With initiatives like DAT Alierta, Aragon positions itself as an attractive place for young professionals and entrepreneurs.
