Early Attention Foundation Expands Services in Zaragoza and Teruel

The Early Attention Foundation (FAT) has expanded its mobile service in the provinces of Zaragoza and Teruel since November 2025. This expansion will allow for the assistance of over 100 new users, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to comprehensive care and equal opportunities in access to services.

The FAT has incorporated three new routes in the Concerted Unit 1 in Zaragoza and one new route in Concerted Unit 3 in Teruel. With this expansion, the service in Zaragoza will have a total of seven routes (four existing plus three new), while Teruel will have two routes (one existing plus one newly created). Specifically, the expansion will enable the assistance of 88 new users in Zaragoza and 13 in Teruel.

Geographical Coverage

In Zaragoza, the service will expand to La Muela, Herrera de los Navarros, and Alagón, municipalities where operations have already begun. Previously served areas included Cuarte, Pina, Belchite, Escatrón, La Almunia, and Daroca. The incorporation of La Puebla de Alfindén is expected soon.

In Teruel, the service is extending to new localities in the Teruel Community region and adjacent areas, after previously covering Andorra, Utrillas, Cantavieja, Albentosa, and La Puebla de Híjar.

Service Features

The mobile team consists of professionals in psychology, physiotherapy, speech therapy, and hearing and language. The service attends to children aged 0 to 6 who present developmental difficulties or are at risk of experiencing them.

The FAT has been the awarding entity for this service since 2023, managed through the Aragonese Institute of Social Services (IASS). The program is co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) with a 40% contribution through the ESF+ Aragón 2021-2027 «Building Europe from Aragón» program, while the Government of Aragón contributes 60% with its own funds.

This expansion is part of the strengthening of the public Early Attention service promoted by the Government of Aragón, which since November has included five new mobile teams throughout the autonomous community.
