Aragon-based Eboca and Italy’s CDA (Cattelan Distributori Automatici) have formalized a business and cultural partnership aimed at exchanging experiences, knowledge and perspectives on the evolution of the vending industry. The initiative links Aragon with Italy’s Friuli-Venezia Giulia region and envisages a long-term relationship that, unlike other corporate alliances, was not created for commercial purposes.
The agreement was formalized in Italy on September 3 and follows up on contacts initiated between the two companies last July. At that time, a CDA delegation traveled to Huesca to visit Eboca’s facilities, meet its teams and learn about its corporate culture. The exchange was reversed on September 2 and 3, when representatives of the Aragon-based company visited the Italian business.
Following these initial exchanges, the two companies have decided to establish a permanent relationship that will allow them to learn from other experiences and share ideas about the changes affecting their business, while each retains its autonomy and identity.
Five areas of collaboration
The partnership is built around five pillars: people, innovation, responsibility, territory and the future. The first focuses on the professionals within both organizations and includes creating new opportunities for their teams to meet and learn from one another.
Innovation will be another area of exchange. Eboca and CDA intend to compare experiences and ideas regarding the evolution of vending and the challenges the sector will face in the coming years. They also share a view of responsibility and sustainability that links business activity to creating value for people and the communities in which they operate.
Territory also holds a prominent place. The agreement establishes a link between Aragon and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, two regions with different characteristics but where both companies identify a business culture closely connected to its surroundings.
A focus on the future completes the partnership’s five pillars. In this regard, the two companies aim to draw on decades of accumulated experience to jointly reflect on the transformations their sector will need to address.
An alliance without a commercial purpose
One of the agreement’s distinguishing features is precisely its noncommercial approach. The document expressly states that the partnership does not pursue economic objectives, but rather seeks to create a stable framework for sharing experiences, corporate cultures and values.
The collaboration includes further reciprocal visits, meetings between professionals from both companies, and forums for dialogue on the future of the businesses and the vending industry. The aim is to turn the contacts initiated this year into an ongoing relationship between the two organizations.
Under the motto «Two companies. Two countries. Two histories. One shared vision of the future,» Eboca and CDA have set out a model of cooperation based on mutual learning. The companies will retain their independence while keeping open a channel for exchange through which they can compare experiences and understand how each is addressing changes in the sector from different business and regional perspectives.
