Épila is hosting this weekend the eighth edition of its Early Music Festival, an established event that brings together performers specialized in repertoires ranging from the Middle Ages to the Baroque period. The festival, organized with the support of the Zaragoza Provincial Council, features several concerts in iconic venues across the municipality, chosen for their acoustics and cultural value.
The program combines nationally recognized groups with young ensembles dedicated to the recovery of historical instruments and techniques. The goal is to bring this music closer to the general public through accessible and high-quality proposals, in formats that promote proximity between artists and audiences.
In addition to the concerts, the festival includes parallel activities such as introductory talks and meetings with the performers, designed to facilitate the understanding of the repertoire and foster interest in early music among audiences of all ages.
With this eighth edition, Épila reaffirms its commitment to a cultural project that attracts more visitors every year, invigorates the local community, and helps to disseminate a musical heritage that often goes unheard in more commercial circuits.
