The Huesca Museum Hosts a Gothic Architecture Conference on June 12

The Huesca Museum will host a conference on June 12 at 6:00 PM, presented by the curators of the exhibition ‘The Art of Gothic Architecture in the Crown of Aragon’.

Related Exhibition: A photographic display featuring 45 images on aluminum and interactive posters, open until September 14.
Speakers: Luis Agustín Hernández, Aurelio Vallespín, and Ricardo Santonja (researchers from the University of Zaragoza and the Polytechnic University of Madrid).
Research Project: ‘A Common Soul. The Architecture of the Crown of Aragon: Mediterranean Gothic’, initiated in 2014 with international collaboration.

Project Phases

First Phase (2014-2015): Analysis of architectural relationships between Aragon and Sicily, exhibited in Palermo, Messina, Syracuse, Rome, and Zaragoza.
Second Phase (2015-2017): Expansion to all territories of the Crown of Aragon, displayed in Mallorca, Naples, Rome, and Zaragoza.
Third Phase (2019-2020): Study of connections with southern Italy, presented in Basilicata and Milan.

Government of Aragon and the University of Zaragoza.
Department of Eastern Pyrenees and University of Perpignan (France).
Italian entities: Fondacione Federico Secondo, Università degli Studi di Palermo, Catania, and Salerno.

The exhibition will travel to other historical territories of the Crown of Aragon after its closure in Huesca.
