Fans of Héroes del Silencio Star in an Exhibition at the Centro de Historias de Zaragoza
The exhibition ‘Héroes. Fans and Rock&Roll’, which will remain open until March 8, brings together items from collectors, original merchandise, and personal memorabilia that demonstrate how the phenomenon of the Zaragoza band has transcended borders and generations. The exhibition focuses on the fans who have not stopped singing their songs nearly 30 years after the band’s separation.
With only four albums, Héroes del Silencio gained a legion of fans not only in Spain but also in countries such as Guatemala, Mexico, Argentina, and even the United States. Almost 30 years after their separation and 18 years after their last concert, rather than diminishing the number of followers, new generations have joined them.
The exhibition features hundreds of pieces loaned by collectors, experts, professionals, fans, and even the band members themselves. Among the displayed items are tickets, pins, t-shirts, magazines featuring the band on the cover, paintings created by fans, and the clothing worn by the band on stage at some concerts.
Visitors can explore the «sanctuaries» that collectors have created in their homes, through photographs and some of their most valuable objects. The exhibition includes a replica of one of the most iconic locations: the band’s rehearsal space on Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente street.
Thematic Structure of the Exhibition
Recreation of Concerts: The exhibition begins immersed in a Héroes concert, featuring a recreation of a stage and signage from these events.
Tribute Bands: The first room is specially dedicated to the hundreds of tribute bands that perform worldwide to keep the musical legacy alive.
Day H: A global tribute that has gathered homage events for the band since 2007, such as concerts or talks, has its own space in the exhibition.
Costumes and Merchandise: The exhibition boasts a wide collection of t-shirts dedicated to the Zaragoza group, as well as a selection of clothing used by the band members themselves, showcasing the band’s aesthetic evolution.
The photographers who collaborated with Héroes del Silencio (Javier Salas, Ángel de Castro, Javier Cebollada, Javier Clos, Daniel Pérez, JoseGirl, Paco Rubio, and Domingo J. Casas) have contributed photographs that are being displayed for the first time.
The final room presents an audiovisual where fans from around the world respond to the question «Why am I a fan of Héroes del Silencio?». As a token of gratitude, the band has provided an unreleased video of part of the concert held on June 18 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Madrid.
