Huesca Unveils the Program for SPIN Festival 2025, October 23-26

The Huesca City Council presents the poster for the SPIN Festival 2025 featuring the work Lady Spin by local artists Fratelli Moca

The cultural festival will take place from October 23 to 26 with a budget of 142,000 euros and aims to establish itself after attracting over 15,000 people in its first edition. The Mayor Lorena Orduna and the Councilor for Culture Sonia Latre unveiled the details of the second edition of the event this morning.

The image, titled Lady Spin, was created by the Fratelli Moca brothers, renowned local artists who have directly linked their work to the concept of spin that names the festival.

The design utilizes collage techniques and plays with optical illusions inspired by the studies of Japanese philosopher Akiyoshi Kitaoka, a master of optical art. The artwork generates a sense of movement from static images and represents a female figure with lips that seem to pronounce the word spin and hypnotic green eyes, straddling the line between human and cyborg, providing a futuristic and captivating look.

Festival program and venues

The SPIN Festival 2025 will take place in various locations across the city, repeating already established venues such as the Congress Palace, the Art-Lab, López Allué Square, and Santo Domingo Square. Additionally, it will incorporate new stages that will enhance the festival’s presence on the streets of Huesca.

Among the confirmed activities are a gamer event, which returns following last year’s success, two parades, a permanent installation, several concerts featuring national and local artists, and a performing arts program open to different audiences. The collaboration with the Art-Lab is also strengthened, solidifying its role as a creative space for youth and a platform to support emerging talent.

The SPIN Festival 2025 will be held in Huesca from October 23 to 26, 2025.

The SPIN Festival is a festival for everyone; it is a space for coexistence among generations and a firm commitment to a city that understands culture as a shared, open, and constantly evolving asset, emphasized the Mayor during the presentation.
