Ibercaja Donates 930,000 Euros at Charity Dinner

Ibercaja has reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility by donating 930,000 euros to 17 social entities during its fifth Solidarity Dinner. This event, which brought together approximately 850 people from various Aragonese companies and organizations, was held at the Aura Restaurant in Zaragoza, highlighting the participation of senior executives from the entity.

A High-Level Event

The Ibercaja Solidarity Dinner featured key figures such as Francisco Serrano, President of Ibercaja, and Víctor Iglesias, CEO. Additionally, Lily Corredor and José Carlos Vizárraga, General Directors of Ibercaja Gestión and Ibercaja Pensión, respectively, participated alongside Inés González, Head of the Social Action, Environment, and Corporate Volunteering Area of Fundación Ibercaja. This event not only gathered the entity’s leaders but also representatives from business organizations and employees of the group.

Social Responsibility Initiatives

The donations made come from two main initiatives: Your Money with Heart and Solidarity Boost. The first supports social projects through the investment fund and pension plan «Ibercaja Sustainable and Solidarity,» which allocates part of its management fees to these causes. The second initiative is aimed at Ibercaja’s staff, encouraging their participation in socially relevant projects.

The investment fund and the pension plan «Sustainable and Solidarity» are managed under ESG (environmental, social, and governance) criteria, accumulating assets of nearly 800 million euros and more than 40,000 participants by March 2026.

Impact of the Donations

The funds raised from the dinner, which amounted to 14,801 euros, were allocated to the José Luis Zazurca Foundation for its project «From the Garden to the Table,» focused on promoting healthy eating and sustainability. Additionally, the 930,000 euros were distributed among seventeen projects, including initiatives to support the elderly, training in palliative care, social inclusion for people with disabilities, and more.

Among the beneficiaries are projects such as riverbank restoration, support for childhood cancer survivors, and educational programs in the Amazon. Causes related to brain damage, Wolfram syndrome, and social inclusion through rural education were also supported.

The event not only underscores Ibercaja’s commitment to social responsibility but also highlights the collaboration of various business organizations and professionals, consolidating a support network aimed at creating a positive impact on society.
