Ibercaja Celebrates the 2025 Fiestas del Pilar in Zaragoza with Activities

Ibercaja is organizing an extensive program of cultural and family activities in its Xplora space to celebrate the Fiestas del Pilar 2025, which will take place from October 4 to 13 in Zaragoza. The Aragonese banking entity complements its offerings by sponsoring numerous musical, sports, and children’s events spread throughout the city.

Main Activities in Xplora

Exhibition of Regional Costumes
Throughout the festive week, visitors will be able to admire the exhibition Aragón, dress and canvas, which showcases original traditional clothing on mannequins. The garments replicate scenes from engravings and genre paintings that reflect traditional dressing styles from the three Aragonese provinces.

Specialized Workshops
The program includes mobile photography workshops aimed at young people aged 11 to 15, scheduled for Saturday, October 4, in two sessions: from 10:00 to 11:30 and from 12:00 to 14:00. Participants will learn practical techniques to optimize the use of their smartphone cameras through creative dynamics and street exercises.

For children aged 4 to 10, cabezudos workshops will take place on Friday, October 10, at two times: from 11:00 to 12:00 and from 12:30 to 13:30. Children, accompanied by their families, will create fun versions of the Pilara or the Torero and participate in tic-tac-toe games with pieces inspired by the Zaragozan cabezudos.

Facilities and Attractions

Permanent Photocall
Plaza Ibercaja will feature a photocall space from October 2 to 14, allowing citizens to capture photographic memories of the festivities with family and friends.

León Garganchón
On Friday, October 10, from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00, the León Garganchón slide will be set up in the Plaza, a children’s attraction inspired by one of the city’s symbols and with characteristics similar to the Gigante Tragachicos.

Interactive Technology
The screens at the digital corner of the bank’s headquarters will offer an interactive game that allows users to engage with the traditional figures of the Cabezudos through new technologies.

Cultural Programming and Shows

On Sunday, October 5, at 18:30, there will be a jota performance at Plaza Ibercaja featuring an updated version of La Morocha, performed by joteros and young singers.

Sponsorships and Collaborations

Ibercaja actively participates in the Pregón with its own float and candy distribution. The entity will be present at the musical stages Goya and Hispanidad in Plaza del Pilar and in the Winter Garden of Parque Grande, as well as in the official and children’s jota contests at Zaragoza Auditorium.

In the sports field, the entity sponsors six Ibercaja Ciudad de Zaragoza trophies in disciplines such as tennis, Aragonese bar throwing, chess, canoeing, and beach volleyball, with the participation of over 1,000 athletes. Additionally, in collaboration with ZetaGaming, it organizes the EA FC 25 Gamer Tournament for parents and children on Saturday, October 4, starting at 16:30.

The programming is completed with participation in children’s activities such as Río y Juego in the Parque del Agua, the International Fair Theatre Festival in Parque Grande, and support for events like the Circus of Fear and the Jurassic Planet exhibition.

All visitors to the Xplora Space will receive a commemorative bracelet for the Fiestas del Pilar, while the corporate Vamos ZGZ will wear the traditional cachirulo during the festive days.
