The General Directorate of Culture of Aragon has made a significant contribution to the Art Week in Madrid, coinciding with the renowned ARCO fair. This foray into the Madrid artistic scene has been marked by meetings and discussions aimed at strengthening the presence of Aragonese art on a national level.
Debate on the Aragonese Artistic Landscape at JustMAD
On Thursday, within the framework of the JustMAD fair, a round table titled ‘Overview of Galleries and Exhibitions in Aragon’ was held. This event featured key figures such as Pedro Olloqui, General Director of Culture, and Fernando Sarría, Head of the Archives, Museums, and Libraries Service. The discussion was enriched by contributions from curator Marisol Salanova, gallery owner Miguel Pérez from Galería Kafell, and artists Alejandro Monge, Ira Torres, and Rebeca Zarza. During the day, the Aragonese delegation also visited the space of Galería Olga Julián, which showcases works by artists like Eduardo Lozano and José Moñú.
Tour of Art Madrid
In the afternoon, the delegation continued their itinerary at Art Madrid, where they explored various prominent galleries. Among them were Carmen Terreros, which exhibits works by Asun Valet and Prado Vielsa, and Galería 3 Punts, presenting pieces by Alejandro Monge. They also visited Alba Cabrera, featuring works by Eva Armisén, and CLC arte, where the art of Manuel Iranzo is displayed.
Ongoing Commitment to Aragonese Art
The agenda of the Aragonese delegation does not end here. On Friday, March 6, and Saturday, March 7, they will continue their tour at the Hybrid and ARCO fairs. The goal is clear: to support the artists and galleries of Aragon participating in these important contemporary art platforms, thereby enhancing their visibility and projection in the national market.
