The Hyundai Spanish Karting Championship (CEK 2026) concluded its second event of the season at the MotorLand Aragón International Karting Circuit on May 18, 2026. This thrilling event, filled with excitement and close contests, precedes the much-anticipated arrival of the Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK), set to take place from May 29 to 31.

The championship delivered unforgettable moments, particularly in the Junior category, where Danish driver Nilas Malik Lykkeaa impressed by climbing 15 places to take the victory. In the Mini category, Marc Cruz converted his pole position into a win by just 1 thousandth of a second over Thiago Huertas. Victories also went to Aaron García in Senior and Adrián Malheiro in KZ, both starting from pole position. In the Carlos Sainz 55 Academy, Spanish racer Beny Palacio clinched the win.
Expectations for the Aragón Round of WorldSBK
With karting serving as a prelude, MotorLand Aragón is gearing up for the Aragón Round of WorldSBK, an event scheduled for May 29 to 31. This will be the sixth race of the championship for production-based motorcycles, providing fans with the chance to enjoy the action from the grandstands and the paddock. Tickets, available on the MotorLand website, include the promotion “one ticket, two world championships,” granting access to both MotoGP (August 28-30) and WSBK. Additionally, WSBK attendees with this promotion will receive a 20% discount on future ticket purchases if MotoGP returns to MotorLand beyond 2027.
