The Saragossa Provincial Council has launched the largest aid program in its history, a scheme endowed with 130 million euros that will finance investments in the 292 municipalities of the province. This is an unprecedented initiative in terms of its financial volume and scope, as it will reach all localities, regardless of their size.
The plan is designed so that each municipality can carry out the actions it considers most urgent or necessary: from urban planning and infrastructure improvements to equipment renewal, energy efficiency, or accessibility projects. The provincial institution emphasizes that the goal is to strengthen municipal autonomy and expedite the implementation of investments that improve the quality of life in the territory.
The Provincial Council highlights that this program responds to the need to support municipalities in a context of increasing demand for services and rising costs. It also notes that smaller towns heavily rely on these funding lines to undertake significant works.
The processing of the plan has been designed to be quick and flexible so that municipalities can access the funds as soon as possible and start implementing projects in 2025. With this initiative, the provincial institution reaffirms its commitment to municipalism and territorial cohesion, ensuring that all localities have the resources to continue advancing in their development.
