Portrait of Javier Lambán Discovered in the Pignatelli Building

This Thursday, the portrait of Javier Lambán, created by the artist Isabel Guerra, was unveiled at an event attended by President Jorge Azcón. The ceremony took place at the Pignatelli Building, where this and other works by former presidents will now be displayed.

Portrait Description

The portrait of Javier Lambán, made by Isabel Guerra, depicts him alongside the flag of Aragón and a copy of the Statute of Autonomy under which he took office in 2015 and 2019. Additionally, various books on history, novels, philosophy, and politics can be seen on a table in the artwork, elements that highlight the interests and background of the former president.

Jorge Azcón «Javier is an Aragonese from Ejea and a Spaniard from Aragón. I highlight his passion for politics, which is fundamental to being a good public servant, and his courage to always express what he thinks.»

In his speech, Jorge Azcón praised Lambán’s political career, emphasizing his «passion for politics, being a good public servant, and his courage to always express what he thinks.» He also highlighted Lambán’s strong defense of the Spanish Constitution and the self-governance of Aragón, underlining how he put the interests of Aragón and Spain ahead of personal ones.

Javier Lambán «Aragón as a common project, shared by all, to which we must all contribute.» The former president reviewed his two terms at the head of the Executive and encouraged everyone to continue «defending the interests of the Community.»

For his part, Javier Lambán seized the opportunity to emphasize the importance of understanding Aragón as a «common project» that requires everyone’s collaboration. He reviewed his two terms in office and encouraged the continued defense of the interests of the Autonomous Community.
