Hernández highlights leadership as key to educational performance
The Minister of Education, Culture, and Sports of the Government of Aragón, Tomasa Hernández, emphasized the importance of leadership in educational institutions during her participation in the AEDIPA executive teams conference held in Zaragoza.
Tomasa Hernández inaugurated the AEDIPA executive teams conference this Friday at the María de Ávila Teacher Training Center. The event was attended by members of executive teams from educational institutions with preschool and primary students from the Aragonese community.
The conference focused on leadership and team building, establishing three main objectives: to foster the development of leadership skills in executive teams for effective educational management; to promote team building strategies that strengthen cohesion and collaborative work within executive teams; and to reflect and discuss the opportunities and challenges in team management and conflict resolution in the educational field.
The minister acknowledged the leadership role in preschool and primary educational institutions as «fundamental for educational quality,» although she noted that «it is often an underestimated role.» Hernández highlighted that «directors are educational leaders who guide the school community, drive innovation, and promote a positive learning environment.»
Institutional Commitment
Hernández considered it «vital» for educational administrations to recognize and support directors, as this involves promoting the quality of education. The minister stated that «the Department of Education is open to listening to your proposals and collaborating closely with you to find the best solutions,» thanking the directors for their dedication and describing them as «the backbone of education in Aragón.»
