The Provincial Council of Zaragoza has approved the allocation of 150,000 euros in grants aimed at 57 cultural associations in the province to promote projects that highlight the material and immaterial heritage of the region. The grants support a wide range of initiatives, from the recovery of local traditions to the organization of educational activities, publications, cultural cycles, and conservation efforts.
The provincial institution emphasizes that these associations play a crucial role in the protection of heritage and in the cultural revitalization of towns, especially in rural areas where the cultural fabric largely depends on volunteerism and community commitment. The selected projects contribute to keeping alive cultural expressions linked to the history and identity of each municipality.
With this call for proposals, the Provincial Council of Zaragoza strengthens its support for entities that work continuously to preserve and disseminate the provincial heritage. The institution underscores that these grants enable many local initiatives, which otherwise could not be developed, to find financial backing to continue growing and reaching a broader audience.
The program is part of the cultural policy of the DPZ, focused on fostering citizen participation, protecting historical legacy, and promoting activities that connect the population with their cultural environment.
