Mobility City celebrates its third anniversary with an impressive record of over half a million visitors since its inauguration at the Zaha Hadid Bridge. This space has established itself as a benchmark for sustainable mobility in Spain, organizing nearly 400 activities. The celebration coincides with the 150th anniversary of the Ibercaja Foundation, the organizing entity of the event.
Highlights of the Anniversary Events
To commemorate its third anniversary, Mobility City organized three main events. Firstly, the book «Mobility City, a very real dream» was presented in a ceremony attended by representatives of the Ibercaja Foundation. This launch included the announcement of new experiences aimed at all audiences.
The light show «Latency» was another highlight, illuminating the Zaha Hadid Bridge with a light intervention that respected its architecture through an organic and serene light. Additionally, the Ars Symphony group offered a classical music concert, performing pieces inspired by great contemporary soundtracks, evoking emotion and spirituality.
Achievements and Milestones
Throughout its three years of existence, Mobility City has become a meeting point for companies, administrations, experts, and citizens interested in sustainable mobility. Among the most notable events are the three editions of the Impulso Awards and the International Road Safety Conference for Motorcycles in 2024, which brought together over 200 participants and 30 speakers from 23 institutions.
Mobility City has also participated in FITUR 2025 within the Aragón Pavilion and has organized specialized events such as «Aragón Data Center» and «Innovation Days». A notable milestone was the first European demonstration flight of an EHang drone in December 2025.
Future Plans and Programming for 2026
Looking ahead to 2026, Mobility City plans to continue its mission of promoting sustainable mobility with a packed agenda of activities. Upcoming exhibitions include displays dedicated to Mercedes-Benz and the motorcycles from the Dakar Rally in March. Additionally, the Sustainable Mobility Observatory, Innovation Days, and Mobility Week will take place.
Mobility City, as the first Technological Museum of Mobility of the 21st century, continues to be an example of what cities of the future will look like, aligning with the Ibercaja Foundation’s mission to work for people and territorial development.
