MotorLand Aragón has taken a significant step in its commitment to solidarity by donating the proceeds from La Invernal 2026 to the Sarabastall Foundation. This contribution will go towards the reconstruction of a school in Pakistan, devastated by flooding, ensuring a dignified educational future for the children in the region.
A Significant Delivery Ceremony in Caspe
The delivery ceremony of the proceeds took place at the City Hall of Caspe, gathering key figures such as Manuel Blasco, Councilor for Environment and Tourism and President of MotorLand, and Jorge Panadés, Managing Director of the circuit. The Mayor of Caspe, Ana María Jarque, along with Miguel Ángel Estevan, Mayor of Alcañiz, and Encarna Romero, Councilor for Citizen Participation, were also present, highlighting the importance of this charitable initiative.
The collaboration between MotorLand and the Sarabastall Foundation not only represents a joint effort to improve education in Ghorse, Pakistan but also strengthens the ties between local communities in Aragón and the needy regions abroad.
La Invernal: A Purposeful Sports Event
La Invernal, in its XV Edition, has established itself as one of the most prominent charity races in Aragón. This family event brings together enthusiasts of athletics, cycling, skating, and mountain biking at the MotorLand Aragón circuit, combining sports and solidarity. This year’s proceeds have a clear destination: the reconstruction of the school in the village of Ghorse, in the Hushe Valley, Pakistan.
The Sarabastall Foundation, based in Caspe, has been working in international cooperation for 25 years. Since 2001, it has been active in Ghorse, developing educational, health, and community development projects. Its work has been crucial for all the children in the village to complete their primary education, and currently, 77 young people are receiving scholarships thanks to its efforts.
Positive Impact on the Future of Ghorse
The reconstruction of the school in Ghorse will allow approximately 50 boys and girls to study in a safe and adequate environment, moving them away from the current precarious conditions. This new educational infrastructure will not only offer modern facilities but also ensure the continuity of education, preventing school dropout.
The contribution of MotorLand Aragón through La Invernal 2026 is an example of how sport and solidarity can come together to create a lasting impact on needy communities, ensuring a better future for the coming generations.
