Fundación hiberus and Ibercaja launch the seventh edition of the national contest Visionarios TIC to promote technological vocations
Fundación hiberus and Fundación Ibercaja have launched the seventh edition of the national contest Visionarios TIC, aimed at first, second, and third-year ESO students from educational centers across Spain. The initiative is part of the #TICVOLUCIÓN program and aims to spark interest in technology among adolescents and to show them the opportunities offered by digital professions.
Consolidation of the Visionarios TIC contest as a national benchmark
The contest has established itself as a national benchmark in promoting STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) vocations. Students must work in teams to develop innovative projects that explore how digital transformation is changing the labor market and which professions will shape the future.
Participation and requirements
The contest is open to public, private, and charter educational centers throughout Spain. Teams must consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 students enrolled in the 2025-2026 academic year. The registration deadline is November 28, 2025.
Phases and development of the contest
Established timeline
Registrations will be open from September 4 to November 28, 2025. Participants will need to develop a group project on the theme «The evolution of professions in the digital age and the technological professions of the future.» Projects must be submitted by February 13, 2026, and will be evaluated based on their originality, creativity, and content quality.
Experience for finalists
The 10 finalist teams will be announced starting February 20, 2026. These teams will have the opportunity to visit the hiberus offices in Zaragoza during March and April, where they will get a firsthand look at how a company specializing in technological services operates. During the visit, students will explore areas such as mobile application development, e-commerce creation, or user experience.
Final ceremony
At the end of April 2026, the finalist teams will defend their projects at an awards ceremony to be held at the facilities of Fundación Ibercaja in Zaragoza, where a jury will select the three winning teams. If necessary, this presentation will take place virtually.
Positive impact on technological education since 2019
Since its inception in 2019, Visionarios TIC has engaged over 7,000 students and teachers, becoming a platform for inspiration, learning, and motivation to bring technology into classrooms. This contest is part of #TICVOLUCIÓN, a program driven by Fundación hiberus and Fundación Ibercaja that encompasses educational activities, workshops, and inspirational events with a threefold purpose: to awaken technological vocations, improve employability, and foster innovation in society.
