Zaragoza Hosts the III Peñín Salon Featuring 56 Wineries and 224 Wines

The III Peñín Salon of Wines from Aragón has become the epicenter of the wine industry in the region, gathering 56 wineries and presenting 224 wines at the Hotel Palafox in Zaragoza. This event stands out not only for its magnitude but also for consolidating Aragón as one of the national capitals of wine, attracting 500 professionals and nearly 400 wine enthusiasts interested in exploring the wine wealth of the community.

A Showcase of Diversity and Wine Quality

The salon has brought together an impressive variety of wineries representing all the producing areas of Aragón. Notable are the denominations of origin such as Calatayud, Campo de Borja, Cariñena, Somontano, and Vino de Pago Aylés, among others. Additionally, the event has included geographical indications such as Bajo Aragón and Ribera del Jiloca, offering a comprehensive display of Aragón’s wine diversity. This showroom format has facilitated direct contact among wineries, distributors, hospitality professionals, and enthusiasts, becoming the largest showcase of Aragonese wine ever held in Zaragoza.

Economic and Cultural Impact of Aragonese Wine

The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food, Javier Rincón, has emphasized the economic and cultural significance of the wine sector in Aragón, stating that the region is «land of great wines and great professionals.» The denominations of origin and the protected geographical indications of Aragón are, in his words, «a collective pride and a guarantee for the consumer.» In turn, Amparo Cuéllar, General Director of Innovation and Food Promotion, has underscored the role of wine as an ambassador of the Aragón brand, committing to increase its visibility in the market.

Growth and Consolidation of the Event

In this third edition, attendees have had the opportunity to taste wines, learn about new projects, and delve into the oenological potential of Aragón. Since its first edition in March 2025 in Zaragoza, followed by the second in October of the same year in Madrid, the Peñín Salon has demonstrated sustained growth in exhibitors, quality, and participation, establishing itself as a key event for the Aragonese wine sector.
