The Saraqusta Film Festival, a key event in the cinematic scene of Zaragoza, opens today its sixth edition with a tribute to Spanish actress Kimberley Tell. Known for her role in the historical series «Ena,» Tell will receive the «Saraqusta 2026» award at a ceremony that promises to be a meeting point for historical cinema.

The opening ceremony will take place at the Fundación Ibercaja Patio de la Infanta at 7:00 PM. The event will begin with the screening of the documentary «Zaragoza, Pioneer of Cinema» (2026), directed by Isabel Soria and Vicky Calavia. This documentary celebrates the 125th anniversary of the filming of «Salida de misa de 12 de El Pilar de Zaragoza,» the first preserved film in Spain, shot by Eduardo Jimeno.
