Huesca has become this week one of the main meeting points for young talent in Spain thanks to the Talent Tour, an initiative promoted by the Princess of Girona Foundation aimed at providing young people with tools, role models, and opportunities to design their professional future. The third day of the program was particularly focused on employability and career guidance, bringing together hundreds of students, companies, and experts at the IES Pirámide.
More than 600 young people from Huesca participated in the Talent Session “Tools to Guide Your Talent and Improve Your Employability”, a practical session designed to help them better understand the current labor market and identify the skills necessary to navigate an increasingly changing professional environment.
Guiding talent for the jobs of the future
The event featured specialists in professional development and company representatives from the region who shared their direct experience with students. Among them was Maite Saeta, Head of Talent Management, Diversity, and Employability at AECOC, who connected attendees with the reality of the mass consumption sector and the diversity of professional profiles it demands.
On stage, Ana Campos, Head of Training and Development at Fribin, participated alongside young professionals affiliated with companies such as Fribin and Grupo Carreras, industrial and logistical benchmarks in the area. The session focused on key aspects for starting a professional career: the importance of internships, the value of networking, and the ability to learn from mistakes.
The Z-Shake program, one of the methodologies promoted by the Princess of Girona Foundation to work on transversal skills in young people, invited students to reflect on their own talent through participatory dynamics focused on self-awareness and decision-making.
In this context, Iziar Sánchez, Commercial Director for Aragón, Soria, and Guadalajara at Zurich Insurance, emphasized the relevance of so-called soft skills in professional development. Skills such as communication, time management, creativity, or emotional intelligence — she pointed out — are increasingly determining factors for improving employability.
On her part, Ana Bajo, psychologist and career advisor at the Ibercaja Foundation, addressed the challenges of career guidance in a labor context marked by the impact of technology and the growing difficulty for companies to find qualified talent.
The session concluded with the participation of Carlos Bella, consultant and creator of the Planet Talent project, who encouraged young people to design their professional journey with purpose. Bella also provided concrete keys for navigating selection processes, stressing the importance of being able to clearly answer a common interview question: “Why you?”.
A direct bridge between students and companies
One of the most dynamic moments of the day was the Professional Guidance Fair “Connect with Your Future”, organized in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Huesca. In this space, students were able to speak directly with local companies and institutions to learn firsthand about job opportunities and the most sought-after profiles.
The fair brought together companies such as Caja Rural de Aragón, Fribin, Marlex, Adecco, Davante, and Sorigué, as well as public entities like the Firefighters of the Huesca Provincial Council and various local businesses related to sports, wellness, or nutrition.
The goal of the meeting was to facilitate direct contact between youth and the business fabric, bringing students closer to the reality of the job market and allowing them to resolve doubts about their professional future.
Inspiring to transform ideas into projects
The day also featured one of the most distinctive spaces of the Princess of Girona Foundation’s program: “Princess of Girona INSPIRA”, a meeting with leading figures in entrepreneurship and innovation.
This time, young people had the opportunity to hear from entrepreneur and artificial intelligence researcher Ignasi Belda, Princess of Girona CreaEmpresa Award 2014, who shared his professional journey marked by the creation of technology companies and his experience in developing solutions based on artificial intelligence.
Belda argued that entrepreneurship should be understood as an open attitude to detecting problems and turning them into solutions, and encouraged young people to pursue their purpose without thinking that entrepreneurship is a path reserved for a few.
Music as a cultural closing
The day concluded with a high-level cultural component thanks to the lyrical recital from the Teatro Real at the Cathedral of Huesca. Young singers from the CRESCENDO program, promoted by the Friends of the Teatro Real Foundation, performed some of the most well-known arias from opera, bringing this genre closer to the public and providing a professional platform for new voices.
A program that connects talent and opportunities
The Talent Tour 2026, organized by the Princess of Girona Foundation with the support of TRIVU, will continue developing activities in the city until February 27, focusing on employability, entrepreneurship, and the development of young talent.
Among them is the Contact Forum, a networking event that will bring together local companies and job seekers to facilitate real hiring opportunities and strengthen the link between local talent and the business fabric.
With initiatives like this, Huesca positions itself in these days as an authentic laboratory for the future where youth, companies, and institutions work together to build new professional opportunities.
