The Juan Cabré Museum in Calaceite (Teruel) inaugurated the exhibition Have I Broken Something? Apology of the Fragment by artist Fernando Navarro on July 10, 2025. The exhibition, open until January 31, 2026, combines sculpture and collage, which are central disciplines in his career.

Presented works: 29 pieces created mainly in the first quarter of the 21st century, except for the sculpture Red and Black (1981).
New feature: Premiere of the mural diptych Did Malevich Exist? (2025), made from aluminum sheet specifically for this exhibition.
Focus: Highlights his role as a «prolific and imaginative collagist,» complementing his recognized public sculpture work in Aragón.
Collages
Series «Dünner karton» (2018): Created with fragmented cardstock in intense colors (warm predominance, cold inclusions).
Composition: Constructive rigor and formal dynamism with references to cultural movements and artistic trends.
Sculptures
Materials: Sheet steel and aluminum enamelled in vibrant colors.
Style: Vertical and ascending structures, assembled with through screws.

About the Artist
Fernando Navarro Catalán (Andorra, Teruel, 1944):
Career: 50 years dedicated to sculpture, photography, painting, and collage, with a geometric-constructivist style.
Awards: San Jorge Prize (1983) and Isabel of Portugal Prize (1988).
Public works: Monumental installations in Zaragoza, Agüero, Sabiñánigo, and Calaceite.
Exhibitions: 35 solo exhibitions and participation in over 150 group exhibitions.
