The Zaragoza Office for Promoting Self-Employment Records 160 Business Ideas in Five Months
The Zaragoza Office for Promoting Self-Employment has solidified its position as a reference point for entrepreneurs since its launch in May 2025. During this period, the service has compiled 160 business ideas registered in its database and has managed information on nearly 7,800,000 euros in municipal support. The initiative, promoted by Mayor Natalia Chueca, works closely with professional associations UPTA and ATA.
The Office has registered 244 personalized consultations since its inception, of which 145 were conducted in person. Self-employed professionals have sought advice on accounting and finance, marketing, legal matters, business planning, and administrative procedures. The registered entrepreneurs are developing projects in sectors such as pastry, retail, hospitality, workshops, and personal services.
One of the highlighted initiatives is the program Safe Transfer, Keys to Transfer a Business, aimed at facilitating generational change. The program offers 10 hours of technical consulting covering objective valuation, legal, tax, administrative, financial, and communication aspects. The municipal website has published 24 business transfer opportunities, with three confirmed successful cases: a coffee and tea shop, a fruit stall in the market, and a pizzeria that have changed owners.
