The public company Suelo y Vivienda de Aragón (SVA) has awarded the contract to build 12 affordable rental homes in Albarracín, a project aimed at strengthening housing availability for tourism-related workers in one of Teruel’s tourist municipalities.

ESFOR Project Manager, S.L. submitted the highest-rated bid to carry out the work, which was awarded for €2,394,590, including VAT.
Construction is expected to begin in about one month and last 18 months. According to the project’s timeline, completion is projected for mid-2018.
The More Housing, Better Tourism program targets tourism-sector professionals
The Albarracín homes are part of the More Housing, Better Tourism program, promoted by the Government of Aragon to expand public affordable rental housing in the region’s tourist municipalities.
The initiative is designed to facilitate access to decent housing for sector workers, including waiters, cooks, hotel receptionists, and ski instructors. The aim is to ensure that employment opportunities generated by tourism are not constrained by rental costs.
