José María Lasheras will continue to lead the Association of Restaurant Entrepreneurs of Zaragoza and Province during the period 2025-2029, supported by a renewed board of directors consisting of 22 members. The reelection occurs in a context of commitment to the professionalization of the hospitality sector and strengthening associations in the province.

New Executive Composition with Strategic Additions

The renewed board retains established figures from the sector while incorporating seven new members who bring fresh perspectives to future challenges. Notable positions include Ana Abadías from Restaurante El Candelas as vice president and Fernando Martín from Hotel Restaurante El Patio as vice president.

The new additions include representatives from diverse establishments such as Grupo Rialto, Grupo Cachirulo, Hábitat Sella, La Clandestina, Gastrobar Espliego, Casa Pedro, and Ejea Hostelera, reflecting the territorial and sectorial breadth of the association.

Strategic Plan 2025-2029: Three Fundamental Pillars

The new mandate is structured around a strategic plan with clear and measurable objectives that encompass three main axes:

Continuous training of sector professionals as a key element for modernization and adaptation to new times, including the incorporation of new technologies.

Growth of the membership base to strengthen the representativeness and specific weight of the association in the provincial hospitality landscape.

Strengthening communication both internally and externally, aimed at improving the visibility of the association and the public perception of the restaurant sector in Zaragoza.

Institutional Commitment and Professionalization

Lasheras reaffirmed the association’s commitment as a valued interlocutor with institutions, highlighting the need for ongoing collaboration with public administrations to ensure a favorable environment for entrepreneurs in the sector.

The president also announced the creation of a good practices committee that will allow the association to lead the sector’s transformation with ethical and responsible criteria, consolidating professionalization as a strategic priority.

Associative Context

Horeca Restaurantes Zaragoza and Province, founded in 1977, positions itself as the largest association in the hospitality sector in the province. The organization is part of the Federation of Hospitality Entrepreneurs of Zaragoza alongside Horeca Hoteles, and maintains its integration into the Business Confederation of Hospitality of Spain, participating in its executive committees.
