Government of Aragón Calls for 305 Teaching Positions for 2026
The Government of Aragón will hold competitive examinations to cover 305 teaching positions through a selection process. This measure is part of the regional strategy aimed at ensuring job stability for teachers and reducing temporary contracts in the education sector.
Examinations will be called in the following specialties: Early Childhood Education (70 positions), Physical Education (50), Therapeutic Pedagogy (45), English (70), Primary Education (30), Hearing and Language (20), Music (15), and French (5). The offer emerged following negotiations in the education sector meeting, which initially proposed 225 positions and was ultimately increased to 305, without reaching an agreement with the unions.
The exams will take place in the summer of 2026 and will consist of a written phase and an oral presentation with programming and a teaching unit. It only includes replacement positions corresponding to the 2024 job offer. The exact venues and dates for the exams will be determined in November, when a committee comprising personnel from the Department of Education and the three Provincial Services will be established to organize the process.
A new sectorial meeting will soon be convened to negotiate specialties for Conservatories, Official Language Schools, and Artistic Education, with the aim of providing security and predictability to candidates from teaching bodies not regularly called.
