The General Directorate of Tourism and Hospitality of the Government of Aragón has launched a major promotional initiative in Seville aimed at increasing Andalusian tourism presence in the region. Under the slogan «Aragón, the place to experience it all,» the event brought together 70 local agencies, providing a platform to strengthen business ties between both communities.
Strategic Meeting in Seville
The meeting was led by Jorge Moncada, General Director of Tourism and Hospitality of Aragón, and took place at the Espacio ExploaTerra – Centro Nao Victoria. The collaboration with the tour operator Europlayas was key to the event’s success. A total of 18 Aragonese tourist entities and companies, both public and private, actively participated in a dynamic workshop. This format allowed attendees from Seville to gain firsthand knowledge of the Aragonese offerings through presentations and a raffle for experiences.
Diversity of Aragonese Offerings
Throughout the day, the rich and varied tourist offerings of Aragón were highlighted. Participants showcased natural destinations, unique accommodations, theme parks, as well as options for adventure tourism, wine tourism, snow tourism, cycling tourism, and star tourism. Additionally, the region’s culinary offerings were one of the key attractions, generating particular interest among professionals from Seville.
This event not only served to showcase the diversity of Aragonese tourism but also to establish direct contacts and create business synergies among industry professionals from both communities.
Impact on the Andalusian Market
According to data from the National Statistics Institute’s Survey of Resident Tourism, in 2025, residents of Andalusia made 168,011 trips to Aragón, representing a 9.9% increase compared to the previous year. This uptick reflects the growing interest of the Andalusian market in Aragón’s attractions. Currently, trips from Andalusia account for 2.71% of the total domestic travel to Aragón, which totaled 6,199,842 in 2025.
Connectivity also plays a crucial role, with high-speed rail service between Seville and Zaragoza facilitating access to the Aragonese community. This logistical factor is essential for continuing to boost tourist flow between the two regions.
