Azcón visits Microsoft centers in Virginia to replicate technological training
The President of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azcón, visited Microsoft facilities in Leesburg (Virginia) on Thursday, November 6, 2025, including data centers and the technical training school linked to Northern Virginia Community College. The educational model will be replicated in Aragon through collaboration with Microsoft to train young people and professionals in data center technologies.
The program addresses the talent requirements for the construction and maintenance of Microsoft’s future Cloud region in Aragon. Specialized training in mechatronics, mechanics, and electricity will be needed during construction. Once completed, the data centers will generate a minimum of 300 new jobs.
The president assessed the operation of new technical degrees and observed how Microsoft and other data center operators donate equipment to students, as well as collaborate on curriculum design and the technical resources necessary for professional performance.
Hacking the Future 2026
Following the first edition held in March 2025 in Zaragoza, the event Hacking the Future. Reprogramming the world from Aragon will be organized again in collaboration with the Government of Aragon, ITA, TECNARA, and Microsoft. The 2026 edition will include hackathons in Teruel, Huesca, and Zaragoza, with participation expected from over 200 people, connecting students, entrepreneurs, and experts to solve business challenges using technology and artificial intelligence.
