San Valero Wineries Concludes 2025 Harvest with Exceptional Quality

Bodegas San Valero Completes a High-Quality 2025 Vintage with Lower Production

Bodegas San Valero has completed the 2025 vintage with exceptional results in terms of quality, albeit with a reduced production compared to previous campaigns. The winery, a leader in the Cariñena Denomination of Origin, emphasizes that this harvest is distinguished by grapes with excellent phenolic maturity and notable varietal expression, a result of particular weather conditions during the production cycle.

The summer of 2025 was characterized by moderate temperatures and appropriate thermal amplitudes between day and night, factors that facilitated balanced ripening and positive aromatic evolution. The rainfall was above the average, with a record of 523 mm, an element that allowed for optimal hydration of the vineyards.

The harvest faced complications arising from the appearance of hail in the areas of Encinacorba and Paniza, which partially impacted the vineyards in the region. The grape growers implemented good practices to minimize the climatic effects and protect the health of the fruit, successfully maintaining the final quality of the grapes.

Antonio Serrano, president of Bodegas San Valero, notes that it has been a short but excellent harvest, highlighting that the grapes arrived with perfect ripeness and optimal health condition. The varieties Cariñena, Garnacha, and Macabeo have achieved extraordinary quality, showing aromatic concentration, freshness, and typicity.

The winery continues to implement sustainable viticulture techniques, including responsible soil management, efficient irrigation, and natural pest control. Ignacio Pastor, general director, states that this harvest reflects the model of sustainable work and the commitment of over 400 partner grape growers.

With a focus on international markets, Bodegas San Valero anticipates that the wines from this vintage will maintain the international projection of Cariñena and will consolidate the winery as a benchmark for quality and innovation in the Aragonese wine landscape.
