Nine Aragonese Companies Bring Their Technology to Toledo’s Army 35 Forum

Nine Aragon-based companies are taking part in the ninth edition of the Army 35 2E+I Forum in Toledo, an event bringing together the Spanish Army, technology companies, universities and knowledge centers to address the capabilities required by new operational scenarios. Aragón’s business presence is coordinated through the Aragón Defense Hub, with support from the Aragonese Development Institute (IAF) and Aragón Exterior (AREX).

Aragon Photonics, Elson Space, Fas Robotics, Iberia Compositech, Kepar, Mecanus Innovación, Modisprem, Sedoscom and Teltronic are the nine companies representing Aragón. Their specializations span a range of technological fields that can be integrated into the value chain for autonomous and unmanned systems.

The joint participation seeks to bring these industrial capabilities closer to the needs of the Spanish Army and facilitate companies’ access to defense-related supply chains. The event is being held from September 30 to October 1 at various venues in Toledo, including the Army Museum, the Infantry Academy and the Los Alijares Maneuver and Firing Range.

Technology for new operational scenarios

Under the theme “Differentiated capabilities for the possible force,” the 2026 edition of the Army 35 2E+I Forum focuses on the evolution of operational environments, technological adaptation and the integration of new capabilities. Topics include counter-drone operations, battlefield robotization, unmanned systems and the Army’s operational requirements.

The event is organized by the Army Museum Foundation and led by the Army Logistics Support Command (MALE). Its approach is designed to connect needs identified by the Armed Forces with solutions that can be developed by companies, universities and technology centers, creating a space for collaboration across the military, industrial and academic sectors.

This ninth edition has also expanded areas for exhibitions and professional meetings and includes dedicated spaces for demonstrations involving UAS — unmanned aerial systems — autonomous technologies and other capabilities applied to the operational environment. The program includes a live demonstration at Los Alijares featuring equipment recently incorporated into the Spanish Army and business solutions that have previously undergone experimentation processes.

Aragón seeks a role in the defense supply chain

The joint presence of the nine companies is part of the Aragón Defense Hub’s efforts to connect the region’s business and technology ecosystem with the opportunities being generated by the sector.

Participation in Toledo allows these companies to present their capabilities directly to Army representatives and other industrial and technology stakeholders. The goal outlined by IAF and AREX is for that visibility to translate into greater participation by Aragon-based companies in the sector’s supply chains.

The delegation is ultimately larger than initially planned. Before the event, Aragón Exterior announced a joint participation by six Aragon-based companies; the list released during the forum raises the number of companies attending under the Defense Hub umbrella to nine.

The Toledo event thus places Aragon-based companies with different profiles before one of the technological challenges currently facing the defense industry: integrating robotics, communications, advanced materials and other technologies into systems that are increasingly autonomous and adapted to new operational scenarios.
