The Aragonese Institute of Promotion (IAF) has launched a call for grants, with a total budget of 695,000 euros, aimed at boosting the digitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises in Zaragoza and Huesca. This support seeks to foster competitiveness through the implementation of advanced technologies.
Boosting digitalization in key sectors
The grants from the IAF are designed to promote investments in software and hardware, as well as the hiring of external consulting services, with the aim of implementing digitalization solutions. The sectors benefiting include industrial, agri-food, defense and security, and health and wellness. This initiative focuses on strategic technological areas such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, Cloud, IoT, and integration of ICT solutions.
The purpose is clear: to improve the competitiveness of Aragonese companies by adopting new technologies that allow them to optimize their processes and services. Companies participating in digital transformation programs or projects will have an advantage when their applications are evaluated.
Details of the call and selection criteria
The amount of the grants ranges between 10,000 and 50,000 euros per project. A notable aspect in the selection process is the evaluation of projects arising from a test before invest service, offered by digital innovation centers recognized by the European Commission. This connection with innovation entities ensures that the proposed solutions are viable and effective.
The IAF aims with this call not only to provide financial support to SMEs but also to encourage their participation in an innovation ecosystem that allows them to adapt to the demands of the current market.
A step towards digital transformation in Aragon
With this initiative, the IAF reaffirms its commitment to the economic development of Aragon, providing local companies with access to cutting-edge technologies. Digitalization is presented as a key factor for survival and business growth in an increasingly competitive and globalized environment.
Companies interested in these grants should pay attention to the deadlines and requirements outlined in the call to take advantage of this opportunity for modernization and continuous improvement.
