The General Directorate of Environmental Education of the Government of Aragón has inaugurated the exhibition «The Illustrated Natural Network of Aragón» at the Palace of the Marquises of Ayerbe. This showcase offers an artistic vision of the Protected Natural Spaces of Aragón through nineteen works by local illustrators, available to the public for free until June 21, 2026.
A visual journey through the protected spaces of Aragón
The exhibition is notable for its diversity of styles and artistic techniques, representing iconic protected areas such as the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park, the Natural Parks of the Sierra and Canyons of Guara, Moncayo, Valleys Occidentales, and Posets Maladeta. It also includes protected landscapes, natural monuments, and unique wetlands from the three provinces of Aragón.
Among the participating artists are well-known names such as Juan Moneo, Diana Antolí, and Marina Montero, among others. Each work offers a unique interpretation of these landscapes, inviting viewers to rediscover the natural richness of Aragón.
Itinerary of the exhibition across Aragón
After its exhibition at La Alfranca, the exhibition will embark on a tour of five Protected Natural Spaces, starting at the Dornaque Interpretation Center on March 14 and concluding at the Agramonte Interpretation Center on December 8. This itinerary allows a wider audience to enjoy the illustrations at various locations across the community.
The exhibition dates include stops at the Bierge Interpretation Center, San Juan de la Peña, and Agramonte, each providing an opportunity to connect with the natural and artistic environment of the region.
Parallel photographic exhibition: «Nature of Aragón»
In parallel, La Alfranca presents the photographic exhibition «Nature of Aragón», organized in collaboration with the Zaragoza Aquarium Foundation for Biodiversity and other institutions. This complementary showcase includes over 40 photographs and will be open to the public until June 21, 2026, also free of charge.
The photographic exhibition provides a detailed look at the biodiversity of Aragón, captured through the lens of photographers from the Aragón Association of Nature Photographers (ASAFONA) and other collaborators. Together, both exhibitions celebrate the beauty and diversity of Aragón’s natural heritage.
