Agriculture facilitates free training on rural women’s entrepreneurship
The Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Department of the Government of Aragón will present training materials aimed at women in rural areas interested in improving their employability and participation in decision-making spaces. The course will be offered free of charge through entities and organizations that request it.
Characteristics of the training program
The course «Strategies and Tools for Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Governance» has a total duration of 73 hours, comprised of 70 hours of self-learning and 3 hours of online training. The main objectives are to strengthen the empowerment and active participation of the female sector in rural areas, as well as to facilitate their introduction into governance spaces.
Content and professional areas
The training is structured into two main blocks:
Work tools: This includes knowledge of resources for work-life balance, challenges of remote work in rural environments, tools for entrepreneurship, and the introduction of Artificial Intelligence in the labor market of rural communities.
Promotion of governance: This covers an understanding of the benefits of female participation in governance, development of decision-making strategies, knowledge of digital tools for administrative procedures, and communication and negotiation skills for accessing high-responsibility positions in cooperatives and organizations.
Official presentation
The presentation will take place on July 3, 2025 at the Boardroom of the Maristas Building (C/ San Pedro Nolasco 7, Zaragoza), open to the general public. The presenters will be Miriam Ferrer, Head of the Planning and Equality Section, and Isabel Ortega, anthropologist and professor of the Master’s in Gender Equality at the University of Zaragoza. The session will also be available via streaming on the Government of Aragón’s YouTube channel.
