Ibercaja has revised down its economic growth forecasts for the years 2026 and 2027, according to the latest edition of the Revista Economía Aragonesa. This publication, which reaches its 87th issue, offers a detailed analysis of projections for both Aragón and Spain as a whole, reflecting an adjustment in growth expectations.
Growth Revisions for 2026
The bank has adjusted its growth estimate for the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Aragón for 2026, reducing it by two-tenths, placing the forecast at 2.7%. This adjustment reflects a more cautious approach regarding the economic evolution of the region. As for the Spanish economy, the revision has been by one-tenth, setting the new forecast at 2.2%.
Forecasts for 2027
Looking ahead to 2027, Ibercaja maintains its growth projection for Aragón at 2.8%, a figure that was previously published in December of the previous year. However, the institution has decided to lower its estimate for the national economy, reducing it by two-tenths to 1.9%. This change reflects a more conservative view in light of the expected economic challenges.
