Ibercaja Foundation Wins CECA Awards for Financial Education 2025

The Ibercaja Foundation has been awarded at the CECA Awards for Social Work and Financial Education 2025, standing out for its commitment to financial education and support for vulnerable groups. This national recognition, awarded in Madrid, underscores the relevance of its initiatives in the educational and social fields.

Awarded Initiatives of the Ibercaja Foundation

Among the highlighted projects are the educational programs on financial education for schoolchildren, which are developed in all the centers of the Ibercaja Foundation. These programs include three innovative proposals: The Economite Island, which fosters the creation of an economic society from scratch; Who Wants to Be an Influencer?, which introduces business concepts from family perspectives for students; and Becoming Cryptomasters, aimed specifically at high school students.

Another relevant project is Active Transition, developed in collaboration with the Más Senior Foundation. This project offers practical content on financial education focused on retirement, organized into three stages: before, during, and after retirement. Available through the «65 and More» platform, it aims to reduce psychological and financial uncertainty during this crucial stage of life.

The Foundation has also been recognized for its financial education for SMEs and entrepreneurs. In collaboration with the General Directorate of SMEs and self-employed of the Government of Aragón, it offers workshops and mentoring sessions at its centers. These programs address topics such as economic management, strategy formulation, cybersecurity, and decision-making, with the goal of promoting responsible business profitability.

Impact and Recognition of the CECA Awards

The CECA Awards value the efforts of entities in addressing social needs and their commitment to vulnerable groups. The Ibercaja Foundation, which emerged from the transformation of the Savings Bank and Pious Monte of Zaragoza, Aragón, and Rioja, acts as a non-profit entity focused on social and cultural development. This recognition reinforces its role as a leader in promoting financial education and supporting the most disadvantaged communities.
