Ibercaja Foundation Supports 44 Projects Across 28 Countries in 2025

The Ibercaja Foundation reaffirms its commitment to international cooperation by supporting 44 projects in 28 countries, benefiting over 100,000 people. This effort aims to strengthen local development in vulnerable communities through initiatives in education, addressing basic needs, and generating employment.

Global Impact of the Projects

This year’s call has allowed 44 Spanish entities to carry out projects in countries such as India, Nepal, Ethiopia, Angola, Cameroon, Mauritania, Ecuador, Argentina, and Indonesia. These projects are designed to have a direct impact on more than 100,000 people, improving their living conditions and promoting sustainable development in their communities.

The presentation event for these projects was held at the emblematic Patio de la Infanta in Zaragoza, attended by José Luis Rodrigo, the general director of the Ibercaja Foundation. This event underscored the importance of international collaboration and the foundation’s commitment to global development.

Key Areas of Action

The projects supported by the Ibercaja Foundation focus on three main areas: education, basic needs, and employment. In the educational field, quality programs in India and Nepal are highlighted, seeking to improve access to and the quality of education. Regarding basic needs, projects have been implemented ranging from the acquisition of healthcare equipment in Cameroon to improving access to water and sanitation in schools in that country.

The promotion of employment is another fundamental pillar, with initiatives such as the economic empowerment of women in El Salvador and the rehabilitation of war victims in Ukraine. These actions not only aim to improve the economic situation of communities but also to promote gender equality and social inclusion.

Commitment of the Ibercaja Foundation

The Ibercaja Foundation, a private non-profit entity, is dedicated to developing social and cultural projects that drive human development. Its core values of commitment, transparency, professionalism, and dynamism guide each of its actions, ensuring that the supported projects are not only effective but also sustainable in the long term.

Through these efforts, the foundation not only contributes to the development of disadvantaged communities but also strengthens its mission to generate a positive impact in the world, reaffirming its role as a key player in international cooperation.
