The Provincial Council of Zaragoza has already transferred to all municipalities in the province the 40 million euros from the Unified Subsidies Plan (PLUS) 2025, the main provincial program for financial support to local entities. With this payment, the municipalities have had the necessary funding since the beginning of the year to carry out investments and cover essential municipal services.
PLUS 2025 maintains its philosophy of flexibility: each municipality can allocate the funds to the actions it considers a priority, ranging from urban works and maintenance to social and cultural programs or improvements to public facilities. The Provincial Council emphasizes that this prompt disbursement of aid enables the councils to plan with certainty and advance projects without having to wait until the middle of the fiscal year.
The provincial institution also reminds that PLUS is a key tool to guarantee territorial cohesion, especially in the smaller towns, where these funds represent a fundamental part of the annual budget.
With the payment of the 40 million, the Provincial Council of Zaragoza reaffirms its commitment to municipalism and the financial stability of the municipalities, facilitating that each locality can meet its needs and improve the services it provides to its residents.
