The Provincial Council of Teruel has increased the subsidies for its Social Thermalism Program 2025, covering 45% of the costs to facilitate access to thermal treatments for elderly individuals and people with disabilities in the province, with the aim of promoting active and healthy aging.
For the year 2025, the program has increased the subsidy from 35% to 45%, which means that users will now only pay 55% of the total cost of stays at the spas. This change aims to make treatments more accessible for the beneficiaries of the program, which includes elderly individuals, retirees, and people with disabilities in the province of Teruel.
The participating spas in this program are Segura de Baños, Ariño, and Manzanera. In the previous year, the program was a success, with 462 people using 1,714 social vouchers, resulting in 934 subsidized nights. These numbers reflect the effectiveness and acceptance of the program within the community.
