Aragón Welcomes 3,222,045 Visitors and 7,236,265 Overnight Stays in 2025

Aragón Consolidates Increase in Tourist Travelers and Stays

During the first nine months of 2025, Aragón has maintained a positive trend in the tourism sector, registering increases in both the number of visitors and the duration of stays. The data reflects the consolidation of the destination and a greater strength in the regional tourism market.

Between January and September 2025, the autonomous community received 3,222,045 travelers, representing an increase of 1.2% compared to the same period the previous year. Overnight stays reached 7,236,265, an increase of 3.5%, indicating a longer average stay for visitors. This data comes from the National Institute of Statistics (INE) and pertains exclusively to regulated establishments (hotels, tourist apartments, campsites, rural accommodations, and hostels).

Additionally, Aragón has 4,194 Tourist Use Homes (VUT), distributed with 63.6% in the province of Huesca, 22.7% in Zaragoza, and 13.7% in Teruel.

Domestic tourism continues to be the main engine of growth. International tourism, although declining by 1.8% in the number of travelers (724,395), experiences a growth of 2% in overnight stays, recording 1,616,232 nights. France remains the leading source market, followed by the United Kingdom, Italy, the rest of Europe, and Portugal.

The SITAR integrates experimental statistics and advanced sources of information, combining data from mobile phone geolocation, electronic transactions, traditional surveys, and digital reputation analysis. According to this experimental statistic based on mobile positioning, during 2024 Aragón received 9 million travelers (compared to the 4 million indicated by accommodation statistics): 7,822,427 were domestic (+4.03% year-on-year) and 1,254,660 were foreign (+9.93% year-on-year).

Tourist Spending and Satisfaction

Foreign tourist spending in Aragón reached 395 million euros in 2024 (+12.79%), while domestic tourism spent 1,518 million euros (+6.79%), including 309 million from spending by locals within the community. The satisfaction index among visitors is 88%, with a digital audience of 86 million people. Gastronomic satisfaction stands out particularly at 95.8%.

The Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar leads the ranking of the most valued attractions with a 96.7% satisfaction rate, followed by Zaragoza and the Palace of Aljafería (90.9%), the Monastery of Piedra (90.5%), and the Ordesa and Monte Perdido Natural Park (96.9%). In the second half of 2025, 1,089 flights are scheduled with a total capacity of 191,095 seats, operated by five airlines connecting Aragón with seven countries and fourteen international airports.
