The Young Engineers’ Night will bring together in Zaragoza more than 100 students from the Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and representatives from 12 companies linked to engineering and consulting. The event, organized by the Official Association of Industrial Engineers of Aragon and La Rioja, will combine professional networking, academic recognition and student-led activities.
Zaragoza connects Industrial Engineering students with 12 companies in the sector
The event will be held at the Zaragoza headquarters of the Official Association of Industrial Engineers of Aragon and La Rioja, although the announcement, dated Friday, September 26, 2025, says it will take place “tomorrow” without specifying the exact date.
The event will bring together students from the Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and executives and managers from Satya, Capli, Inascal, Caja de Ingenieros, La Mutua de Ingenieros, Satel, Ferrovial, Dagartech, Grupo Samca, i-Lanza, DB Holding and Equimodal. Miguel Ángel Martínez Barca, coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Zaragoza’s School of Engineering and Architecture, is also expected to attend.
The event is designed as a meeting point for students, professionals and companies in the industrial sector, with the participation of businesses involved in engineering and consulting.
The 2026 Juan Aroca Award recognizes two master’s theses
The program includes the presentation of the 2026 Juan Aroca Award for master’s thesis projects. The award, which honors the Association’s first dean, carries a €1,000 prize and will go to Pablo Castellanos Carnicero.
Castellanos will receive the award for his master’s thesis, “Design and Development of an Experimental Facility for Evaluating Heat-Transfer Fluids and PCM Emulsions: Cooling High-Power Computer Systems”.
The Association will also award a €300 runner-up prize to Óscar Marquina Martín for his work, “Analysis, Comparison and Validation of a Low-Cost Non-Resonant Boost Converter for Household Induction Applications”.
The Mastering Awards and Ingeniando videopodcast round out the evening
A new edition of the Mastering Awards, aimed at fostering talent and creativity among young engineers from the universities of Zaragoza and La Rioja, will be presented during the Young Engineers’ Night.
The program will continue on the Association’s rooftop, located in Plaza de España in Zaragoza. The evening will include a DJ performance and the premiere of the third season of the Ingeniando videopodcast, produced by the students themselves.
