Black Friday Will Generate 2,960 Jobs in Aragón with a Moderate Growth of 1%
Randstad has presented its hiring forecasts for the Black Friday campaign (November 28) and Cyber Monday (December 1) of 2025, with data reflecting stability in the Aragon labor market. The number of new hires in the autonomous community will reach 2,960 contracts, just a 1% increase from the 2,930 registered the previous year in the sectors of commerce, logistics, and transport.
Provincial Distribution: Teruel Leads Growth
Zaragoza will concentrate the majority of the hiring with 2,550 new contracts, representing an increase of 1.4% compared to 2024. However, Teruel will be the province experiencing the highest percentage increase, rising from 115 to 130 contracts, a growth of 13%. In contrast, Huesca will record a 6.7% decrease in the volume of hiring for this campaign.
Jesús Fernández-Lima, regional manager of Temporary Work for the Northern zone at Randstad, explained that the stability in hiring figures is due to two main factors: the reduced spending capacity of families after years of price increases and the effect of labor reform, which has decreased the number of new contracts by favoring the use of existing discontinuous permanent contracts. Despite this stability, the executive emphasized that the campaign remains an essential opportunity to boost employment and economic activity.
National Outlook: Over 110,000 Contracts
Nationally, Randstad forecasts around 110,830 hires in Spain, a figure almost identical to that of 2024 (110,795). The transport and logistics sector will account for 59.3% of the total with over 65,700 contracts, although this represents a 6.8% year-on-year decline. Meanwhile, the commerce sector will represent the remaining 40.7% with approximately 45,100 jobs, registering a growth of 12.1% compared to the previous year.
Territorial Distribution
Catalonia, Andalusia, and the Community of Madrid account for more than half of the job opportunities for the campaign. Catalonia leads with 19,680 hires, followed by Andalusia with 18,680 and Madrid with 18,180. Other communities with significant volumes include the Valencian Community (over 13,000 contracts), Galicia (over 6,100), the Canary Islands (5,640), and the Basque Country (around 5,400).
Smaller regions such as Navarre, the Principality of Asturias, and Castilla-La Mancha show positive trends with notable increases compared to the previous year. In contrast, La Rioja, Andalusia, and Galicia report declines in the volume of hires.
Most In-Demand Professional Profiles
The logistics sector is primarily seeking packers, forklift operators, warehouse workers, and transporters, as well as customer service professionals to respond to the surge in e-commerce. The commercial sector will strengthen its staffing with salespeople, promoters, and commercial profiles, particularly valuing close customer interaction and communication skills.
Companies in both sectors increasingly highlight the importance of digital skills and knowledge of platforms as a result of the rise in e-commerce.
