The Night Routes of Historical Churches in Zaragoza Begin Their Season

«The route of the historic churches of Zaragoza» begins a new season. Tickets for the nighttime visits in the coming months are now available through the official platforms of the Cathedrals of Zaragoza and Alma Mater Museum, with programming planned for the entire last quarter of the year.

This initiative, established as one of the most unique cultural experiences in the Aragonese capital, offers added value that goes far beyond a heritage visit. During the tours, participants not only discover the interiors of some of the most emblematic temples, such as the cathedrals and historic churches, but also enjoy exclusive elements that turn each date into a unique experience.

The nighttime visits are organized into two different routes. On one hand, the «El Pilar and La Seo» route offers exclusive access to the two cathedrals of Zaragoza, which open at night without crowds to showcase their heritage richness through a guided two-hour tour. On the other hand, the «San Gil Abad and La Magdalena» route allows visitors to discover under the moonlight two jewels of Mudejar architecture in Zaragoza, inviting them to immerse themselves in the history of two of the city’s oldest and most iconic temples.

The routes include live musical performances, access to spaces that are normally closed such as towers and battlements, and guided tours by specialists who provide an engaging and enriching narrative. This initiative aims to promote cultural and religious heritage as a quality tourist attraction, combining history, culture, and unique experiences.

Two available itineraries

The nighttime visits are structured into two distinct routes. The «El Pilar and La Seo» route provides exclusive access to the two cathedrals of Zaragoza at night without crowds, with a two-hour guided tour that showcases their heritage richness.

On the other hand, the «San Gil Abad and La Magdalena» route allows visitors to discover under the moonlight two treasures of Mudejar architecture in Zaragoza, inviting them to immerse themselves in the history of two of the city’s oldest and most iconic temples.

The tours include live musical performances, access to spaces typically closed to the public such as towers and battlements, and the opportunity to explore these sites with specialized guides who offer a close and enriching narrative. This proposal goes beyond traditional heritage visits, providing exclusive elements that turn each date into a unique experience.
