San Jorge University will, for the first time starting tomorrow, be the host of the Summer Courses of the Complutense University of Madrid, accommodating three programs that will offer an innovative perspective on trends related to education, marketing, and health. This training, designed by USJ, aims to be a space for transversal dialogue with the goal of responding to society’s training and specialization needs, becoming a meeting point for social, cultural, and educational exchange.
Firstly, on July 8 and 9, two courses will be held: Trends in Digital Marketing and Business Analytics and Active Methodologies, Learning Spaces and Educational Innovation.
The first course focuses on understanding emerging trends in digital marketing and data analytics, offering an updated, critical, and practical view of the major transformations shaping how brands communicate, how consumers make decisions, and how companies analyze their environment. Over two days, students will explore how technological innovation redefines business strategies and customer relationships, analyzing the rise of generative artificial intelligence to marketing automation and the new ethical demands in data usage.
Xavier Gassó, Director of Corporate Communication at Banco Sabadell and an expert in strategic communication and digital narrative, and Alejandro Vallespín, a Digital Marketing expert and CEO of The Animal Brand, have designed this program that combines a conference format with roundtable discussions oriented towards open debate with students. This course features top professionals such as José María Piera, Chief Client Officer; Cristina Villarroya, Managing Director at Wavemaker; and Óscar Peña, Chief Innovation & Digital Solutions Officer at ATREVIA.
On the other hand, the course Active Methodologies, Learning Spaces and Educational Innovation will present the new challenges and problems facing educational centers and institutions in training the protagonists of future advancements and professions, providing guidelines for successfully addressing these issues.
This course will address how the professionals and organizations leading education must design more personalized and flexible teaching models, as a result of analyzing the relationship and impact of active methodologies, new learning spaces, and technology on education.
Silvia Carrascal, Rector of San Jorge University, directs this program, which includes contributions from speakers such as María Comín, winner of the 2024 Globant awards: «Women that Build awards» EMEA Tech Executive, who will speak about educational technology and methodology; and Diego Arroyo, a communicator, educator, and coordinator of the Mental Health Technical Unit in the educational sphere, who will conduct a workshop on the implementation of interdisciplinary, innovative, and inclusive technology in the Classroom of the Future.
On July 10 and 11, the course Innovations in End-of-Life Care will take place, aimed at providing tools to improve comprehensive care at the end of life, addressing ethical, emotional, clinical, and community dimensions. To this end, sessions will be developed that combine theory and practice, promoting active participation and the exchange of experiences. Additionally, group dynamics, case analysis, and spaces for debate and reflection will be held.
Its director, Marisa de la Rica, a nurse and specialist in geriatrics at the Aragon Health Research Institute, has designed a cross-cutting program with various healthcare specialists, including Daniel Fernández, a nurse and professor at the Pontifical University of Comillas, an expert in using humor as a therapeutic tool in palliative care; Naomi Hasson, a nurse and president of Arinduz, the palliative care society of the Basque Country; and Manuela Monleón, a leading nurse in palliative care and a doctor in nursing, who will conduct a specialized workshop on the subcutaneous route.
The summer courses stand out for their strategic value: they offer brief, specialized, and current training tailored to the real challenges professionals face. Furthermore, they promote critical thinking and interdisciplinary dialogue in a dynamic, accessible format open to the participation of students, professionals, and citizens.
All courses will be held at the San Valero Group Building, located at Plaza Santa Cruz s/n in Zaragoza.
